"Socialism works in Europe" I was constantly told. Not so fast. Word is that apparently this crisis "has undermined the sustainability of the European standard of social welfare." Wrong again. The "European standard of social welfare" has bankrupted the system and caused this crisis. America's own version of social welfare has bankrupted us as well and will bring down its system soon.
Wake up.
I agree that this finally shows that the European model is broken. And I agree that it's going to impact us significantly. We have stupid politicians that are hell bent on pushinng us towards a European model. But with all the underfunded pensions, we will be totally broke. And with all the baby boomers retiring and getting old under Obamacare, it's going to lead to significant rationing of health care. I wonder what's going to happen since a lot of doctors are supposedly not accepting Medicare patients any more. I guess Obama will say again to these old people to just take a pill b/c it's going to cost too much to keep them alive. We have the worst president at the worst time.
